Award of lots

• Each lot is awarded, without buyer’s fees, to the highest bidder.
• The award price of each lot is equal to the next highest bid below the highest bid, plus 5% (rounded up to the next euro).
• Example: if the two highest bids for the same lot are €500 and €600, the lot is awarded at €525 to the bidder who offered €600.
• If several bids for the same lot are identical, the winner is drawn by lot.
• If there is only one bid for a lot, it is awarded at the minimum starting price.
• If the two highest bids are less than 5% apart, the lot is awarded at the price of the highest bid.
• Bids below the starting price are not accepted.

Numbering and quality

The numbering used is that of the Yvert et Tellier catalogue, unless otherwise stated.
For two similar stamps forming two lots described as “TB” (very fine), two different minimum prices mean that the stamp with the higher minimum is of a better quality than the other.

Guarantee of lots

Shipping

Orders are shipped once payment has been received. Stamps are sent by insured registered mail, at the buyer’s expense. They remain the property of La Postale until paid in full. The catalogue photographs serve as the description for centring, margins and the general quality of the stamps. In case of non-conformity, the stamp will be taken back within 7 days of its receipt by the recipient, except lots and collections. In the event of a dispute, only the Paris Commercial Court (Tribunal de Commerce de Paris) has jurisdiction.

A photographic certificate of authenticity is provided free of charge on request, for items worth more than €400. For items worth less than €400, a contribution of €10 per certificate will be requested.

Payment

Payment in 4 instalments without fees is possible. For a longer instalment plan, please contact us.

Payment may be made by cheque in euros, bank card, postal money order or bank transfer.
